If you've ever been into London Liverpool Street it's a pretty airy and light place [well apart from the high numbered platforms on the east side] and is one of the nicer terminal stations in the capital. Next door to the west was Broad Street which was being run down by British Rail at the time of filming - it shut in 1986.
The Broad Street side is now the Broadgate office development: British Rail obviously seeing the potential of flogging the site off as more office space was needed in London, especially after the Big Bang deregulation of financial markets in 1986.
Liverpool Street was spruced up and eventually completed by 1991.

I’m kinda done with Mastodon. It’s been my main spot, but it’s missing quote posting, which drives me nuts—I just wanna comment on posts without resharing everything! Also, it’s eating up my server’s resources, and I’m running a bunch of stuff on one machine, so I need something that doesn’t hog CPU or disk space.
I used Akkoma with Mangane frontend before and really liked how light and customizable it was. Problem? The database got huge, and I couldn’t find simple tools to clean out old stuff. It was like digging through a messy closet. I’m thinking of trying Akkoma again, but is there a way to keep the database under control?
I’m also looking at Misskey—it seems fun with quote posting and a cool community. But does it use a lot of server resources? How hard is it to back up or move to another server? I’d love Mastodon API support since my clients need it.

Heute ist der erste Tag in 2025 an dem ich tatsächlich alle Dachfenster offen habe, damit es ein bisschen durchzieht und morgen früh kühler ist. Im Schlafzimmer sind es zwar erst 26° gewesen. (da geht noch deutlich mehr), aber selbst die Katzen waren heute ganz matschig von der Hitze. Wir haben uns noch nicht daran gewöhnt.

Wir haben es satt uns jeden Morgen auf zu schmalen Radwegen zu drängeln. Das Stadtradeln-Team "Suche sicheren Radweg" begleitet dich Dienstagmorgen von Pankow nach Mitte.
Ich versuche zur Zeit mein eigenes Foto-Mojo wiederzufinden und habe dazu heute mal meine Infrarotkamera für ein paar Experimente rausgezogen. Und bei aller Frustration, die ich in Sachen Bildbearbeitung mit Linux so habe: RawTherapee ist speziell für IR Bildbearbeitung mal wirklich gut.
Hab irgendwann mal mit RawTherapee gearbeitet, aber da ich zuviel umdenken musste wo ist dort der richtige Regler und so, bin ich wieder zurück zu Lightroom. Ich glaube ich war einfach zu faul um dem Programm eine Chance zu geben. 🙈
@homawida in meinem Fall hilft es sehr, dass Lightroom zur Infrarotbearbeitung immer schon Grütze war. Bei fast allem anderen ist mir LR eigentlich lieber aber bei IR war schon immer Gebastel angesagt und in RawTherapee ist IR kein Problem.
