"Europeans can’t do web and mail. There is absolutely no provider here who can do such complicated tasks."

I know you're being sarcastic here, but as an EU company that likes to not rely on US services, I too use Cloudflare and Google Workspace after long deliberation because I just couldn't find viable alternatives in the EU. So I'd be interested to hear what you would recommend to pick instead. Some self-hosted, partially working Nextcloud BS, 1&1 webmail and OVH cloud CDN?

@can just in case you haven’t come across this yet: european-alternatives.eu

@can then I probably don't understand what your issue is, because I see quite a few things that aren't “Some self-hosted, partially working Nextcloud BS, 1&1 webmail and OVH cloud CDN” over there

ok, then please point me to the exact provider that offers a working office suite, email, messaging, file management and meeting services for around 10€/user. And another one that offers CDN, DDoS protection, load balancing, VPN and edge storage for less than 100€/month.

@fluffel You know what, let's be generous! I'd even accept different services for each, totaling 600€/month for two users. That'd be about 500€ more than I currently pay for that calculation, would mean more inconvenience for me and my users because they'd have to use many different services that won't be fully interoperable, and I still think that not even that will be a viable option with only EU-based services.

THAT is my problem.

@can for the office stuff: thegood.cloud/prices-and-confi…
for the CDN stuff: bunny.net
and for the VPN part: netbird.io

but yes, that's probably more expensive and a little less convenient than using Google and Cloudflare

@fluffel GoodOffice looks horrible. But Bunny and Netbird do actually look like viable alternatives. So I'll give you that. Maybe I should look into replacing Cloudflare once again. And maybe some day there will be a good alternative to Google Workspace as well.
