I do not want your Gemini,
I do not want any AI.
I do not want it in my Chrome,
I do not want it in my home.
Not in my mail,
Even on sale,
Not in my app,
None of this crap.
I do not want it here or there,
I do not want it anywhere!

(with apologies to the estate of Dr. Seuss 🍳🍖)

Somebody not me created the AI seal of disapproval. For more information, downloads, translations, a vectorized version and a link to the t-shirt shop, visit gitlab.ub.uni-bielefeld.de/cpi… !

People who don't understand what AI means now have an inkling about 1% of how billions around the world feel about the United States of America forcing itself into the breathing air, the airwaves, and everything we think and everything we do.

I don't mind, go for it! The more translations, the better!

Having said that, the slanted font shape you chose makes me a little dizzy. I am not the artist who designed this. You can find the original publication in the ALT text: bsky.app/profile/dynamoe.bsky.…

I saw it when somebody posted it in the Fediverse. Later, a kind soul vectorized it to make high-quality prints possible. Their toot seems to be gone, so I uploaded the SVG version now: gitlab.ub.uni-bielefeld.de/cpi…

Yes thanks, I could not find the right font in my computer so I just winged it KNOWING I had to do a better version later...
Als Antwort auf oscarfalcon

@oscarfalcon Neat! May I upload this version to my little artwork collection at gitlab.ub.uni-bielefeld.de/cpi… ?

If so, would you like to be named as the author? Currently there are not names, just links to the source. I would like to add a LICENCE file saying CC-0.

@chpietsch
Go ahead sure, I am not really the author just the "adaptor" but no worries, make it a creative commons.
Als Antwort auf Christian Pietsch

@chpietsch But... But... It after all means that at least *some* intelligence was involved in product development...

I think this is a sign of Yuval Harari's prediction that ordinary people can become economically and militarily irrelevant coming true.

What mechanism forces the AI developers or users to care about whether ordinary people like it?

Als Antwort auf Noodlemaz

@noodlemaz @chpietsch lighten up, it was a joke ;-)
And yes, I also hate they push AI on any product they can find, no matter if it makes an sense…

„Stop forcing A.I. into fucking everything“ could be understood two ways, couldn’t it? A wordplay if you will. Depending on the usage of „fucking“ if you don’t use it as swearing the sentence has a different meaning and I cracked a quick joke. The source of the humor is me. And this is as far as I will engage in this conversation
Als Antwort auf TheWK

@thewk @chpietsch that's nice. Maybe reconsider whether you need to bring sexual assault into a conversation 'as a joke' or whether it could stay in your head, though.
Sometimes jokes aren't funny, it's OK to make mistakes.
Als Antwort auf Noodlemaz

@noodlemaz @chpietsch okay, not being a native english speaker forcing x into fucking y translated for me into sexual assault. Having read up on this, I maintain the translation is correct, but I can see how the meaning got over completely wrong. I should have said something like „it’s not nice to forca AI to do that“. That is how it was meant to come over. I do apologise if you felt offended, it was not my intent.
Als Antwort auf TheWK

@thewk @chpietsch further language tip, 'I apologise if you got offended' isn't an apology. It's more of an accusation of the other person being wrong and pathetic.

"I apologise for my clumsy wording and being offensive, I'll do better" - actual apology

Have a good evening 👋

Als Antwort auf Noodlemaz

@noodlemaz @chpietsch
Point taken, in German that would have been a completely correct apology.
Have a good one too
Als Antwort auf Christian Pietsch

@chpietsch @rachaelspooky see this is the problem with liberal democracy under capitalism. We have no real say about things that matter because the most important part of everything is owned and controlled by capitalism. And the state, the cops, the military, protects that. Not Protecting us, the people and our say in this. I hate it here, for real.
