Actually I guess we can kinda "close" this idea/proposal here. This post already has like over 210 answers, and even tho if in general terms it created some content, some context and some results that ended up in certain feedback and implementation of ideas, or kinda content proposals that were in the queue already, it didn't go anywhere so best is to leave it as is and add it to the list in the library of failed attempts to create something with what we have at hand in the fedi.

We should start by creating a #commission, a #comity, contract some office employees, who define their own salary and preferable in the first world, specialists with a PhD who define their own salary and preferable in the first world that sign papers that prove the #carbonFootPrint and result in some #CO₂Certificates that we can trade on #wallStreet.

Good point. Thanks for the link. At the same time, as in general, all these aplications and technologies definitely depend on when, where, why and how. In this particular case, and the german climate, I guess the best recycling of garden waste in most cases are worms. In general all those implementations should if possible be build by recycling material, not creating more waste. The best biogas aplication we actually are half way to implement at @tierranietos is the IBC container model. And having in mind that over here there are always some cows near by, this project definitely should be realized!

The team needed to prevent that surface layer from forming. They did this by coating the battery with a glassy material made of lithium borate-carbonate, approximately 20 nanometers thick. The addition of this coating sped up cold charging significantly, and when combined with the channels, the team’s test cells were 500% faster to charge in subfreezing temperatures.

Steam deck OLED 1TB or Asus ROG Ally X with Bazzite?
I'm looking to buy the steam deck or simply the Ally X and put Bazzite on it. Does anyone here have any experience with Bazzite on the Ally?
I'm not quite sure the Ally X is worth it as it's about 25% more expensive then the deck and it seems to have a smaller screen though it does have VRR.
It seems battery life is pretty comparable but it seems the Ally X has better performance but, again, is it worth it? I do have a pretty powerfull PC at home (9700X with 6800xt) that I guess I could always remote play or simply go sit at the desk.
I don't play any recent AAA games, the most demanding I would play would probably be Witcher 3 or Red dead redemption 2 (haven't started yet).
I do however like to play games the likes of Banished or Factorio and I'm worried that's not going to be possible without the touchpads on the steam deck.
I'm also worried about the longevity of the Ally X and access to spare parts and accessories.

Wie man nur ein Video speichert weiß ich schon. Nur das mit den Kommentaren habe ich keine Lösung gefunden.
Am liebsten wäre es mir, wenn es eine Möglichkeit gibt, dass die Kommentare verlinkt sind. Wenn man auf dem Kommentar auf einem Timestamp kickt, dass es dann auch auf dem Video dahin springt.

When did Kdenlive get so good?
Just found out about this guy on YouTube named Nuxttux because I've been trying to make some social media videos.
Kdenlive is a completely different beast than the one that I remember using a couple of years ago. It has so much functionality in it, like all the "TikTok effects", proxy clips, rendering previews, visualizing effect curves between keyframes... like damn. This is actually legit software now for my basic needs.
The thing is, it seems like these were all added in the past 2 years, because I had 23.x installed through the Debian repo and I upgraded through Flatpak to 24.12 and it seems to have added all of these?
Anyway holy shit. Go give these guys some money. This is game changing

Since they (for a pittance) operate the heavy machinery in his home that killed him, from a completely separate jurisdiction, the story takes a turn towards international relations. However, our protagonist gets a leak from a robot operator that anyone who knows the password can operate the robot if they know the password. All the robots are shipped with the password "

Armed with this knowledge our protagonist goes to the hacker of bright hair colours and indeterminate gender. The hacker first laughs at the protagonist for not knowing the password in the first place - it was in a post that went viral on Tumblr - and then accesses the robot. It turns out that not only did everyone have a motive, everyone was trying to kill him using the robot. One was poisoning the coffee, another one the cocaine. One was trying to electrocute him in the pool, on getting the chandelier to fall on him and so on.
Finally, the hacker helps our protagonist to trace the IP of the person that operated the robot when it strangled the rich asshole. Turns out it was someone accessing robots for fun to pretend they had come to life. The rich, high, somewhat poisoned, victim fell for it and got horny. He begged to be strangled a bit and unfortunately the person controlling the robot complied, not understanding the strength of the robot. It was an accident after all.
Our protagonist pours a whiskey, looks into the camera and says that you got to know that both you and your partner know what you are doing if you engage in strangulation. Also, don't be an asshole.
