Sounds quite soft washed and American style for me. There are only 6 of 30 songs, which contain traces of tradition. So called World Music of the 80 still was a commercial product too, but this is music to lure the whole continent to buy it. In the 80s, we had the Heimatklänge Festival in Berlin. It was way more interesting than this. Some bands came from small villages in South Afrika or Ghana or somewhere else. It was the music which they played at a the local wedding party a week before. Will never forget it. Sorry for such a bad review. Not mentioned the chauvinism, which ist still present in some of the songs.
