Hello #Inkscape friends! ^__^

Is it possible to change the edge / point that is scaled from and to when using the inputs in the top bar or the Transform tab?

It seems to always use the upper left corner, but e.g. Scribus / Illustrator have a function where you can change that, does this exist for Inkscape?

The page direction can be changed in the preferences.

But also anchors can be selected for select bar controls.

@doctormo @wolf @inkscape @raghukamath In plain words, after single-clicking on an arrow, the top bar values becomes that of the arrow. No chance with the Transform dialog though; that would be a feature request.

@doctormo @wolf @inkscape @raghukamath well we have this gitlab.com/inkscape/ux/-/issue… and if you (or anyone concerned) have better designs you can comment it there :blackcat_11123:

@doctormo @wolf @inkscape @raghukamath Wow, I didn't even see these „item lines“ on my monitor (they are there, just very, very thin).

I think the main problem would be how to teach people the functionality that exists without a popup or similar. I like the proposed „familiar“ button design.* Maybe if you select something there the corresponding arrow on the object could be highlighted/activated (even blink?). But even that might be too subtle …
